In an effort to capture the true essence of the house of Gucci, the brand's creative director, Frida Giannini, set out to develop a fragrance that would call to mind more than 85 years of tradition and excellence. Gucci By Gucci (a delicious concoction of guava, pear and Tahitian Tiare flower) comes in a smoky brown, glass bottle tied with a horse bit necklace bearing the house's iconic symbols. $100; at Gucci boutiques
WHAT A GEM
There's a certain sensation associated with clutching onto the recognizable gleam of a Judith Leiber handbag. The Hungarian design diva has managed to bottle that special feeling in the brand's newest launch, the Leiber fragrance. The scent, which comes inside a clutch-like bottle, boasts notes of vanilla, musk and amber for a mysterious bouquet. $110; at Nordstrom stores
