Obsessed with the Far East, two world travelers bring Asia home to Fort Lauderdale and create a Zen take on the Florida lifestyle

As co-founder and guitarist of the rock band Styx, Chuck Panozzo and his partner Tim McCarron have done their fair share of traveling. And when it came time to designing their Fort Lauderdale residence, the two decided they wanted to incorporate the best of those experiences - namely their trips through the Far East and much of Asia - into their 1951 bungalow-style home.
"We knew from the very beginning that we wanted to create a sanctuary," says McCarron. "Chuck travels so much so it was important to create a place we wouldn't want to leave. We've always had a passion for Eastern culture and when we found this house, we saw that the lines had an Asian feel to them. It was the perfect match for us..."
